Science – We are now studying the Earth’s Weather.  This week we will concentrate on the three characteristics of weather, which are air temperature, air pressure, and wind.  Our Daily Geography Review this week is an introduction to a Weather Map.  We will learn about the weather of the North-Central Region of the United States.
Reading – We’re really enjoying our story Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs this week. In the land of Chewandswallow, food rains out of the sky.  When the weather turns torrential, the inhabitants are forced to think up an escape plan.  We are also reviewing summarizing as our reading strategy.
English- This week in Simple Solutions we are doing reviews with pronouns, abbreviations and adverbs.  Mrs. Leib also worked on more poetry and this will continue throughout April.
Spelling- Our spelling lesson this week focuses on contractions.  Please remember to study all 20 words.
