Educational Philosophy
St. Susanna Parish School recognizes that parents are the primary educators of their children. The Catholic Church has a fourfold educational mission:
To impart the message of Jesus Christ;
Through the living out of the message of Jesus, to advance the building of Christian Community;
To offer meaningful worship experiences related to their catechesis;
To show what the Good News is by the quality and character of life as community.
St. Susanna School draws its purpose and meaning from this context and shares with the family the educational mission of the Church.
Statement of Beliefs
We believe that our Catholic identity and mission should be integrated and reflected in all aspects of our school.
We believe that the parents are the primary educators of their children, and the school supports parents in their mission of Christian formation.
We believe that each child is unique because of his or her creation and destiny. Each has divinely given human rights, among which is the right to be educated.
We believe that students should have daily opportunities to reflect upon their spirituality and experience prayer.
We believe in celebrating community in our classroom, school, and parish.
We believe in living the Gospel message of Christ and engaging faculty, students, and families in service and outreach opportunities.
