Election Panel
During the month of October, the fourth and fifth graders learned about the three branches of government and the election process. On Friday, October 24, 2008, students were visited by several local people who are currently involved or have been involved with the government. Our visitors spoke about their jobs in government and election process. Our speakers were: Mrs. Christine Shimrock (a Mason City Council Trustee), Mr. Chris Romana (a Deerfield Township Trustee), Mr. Tom Raga (a former Ohio representative and candidate for Lt. Governor), and Mr. Tom Grossman (Mayor of Mason). The students enjoyed the program and learned many new things.
